The brain contains some neural cells known as neurotransmitters that send signal to other parts of the brain cells. The foods we eat play a lot of roles in production of serotonin. The brain cells also needs Amino acid from protein called tryptophan.
Serotonin is a chemical that has a wide variety of functions in the human body. It is sometimes called the happy chemical, because it contributes to wellbeing and happiness.

  • Serotonin: is a type of neurotransmitter that iss found mainly in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal (GL) tract. Serotonin help to regulate mood, sleep, memory and appetite.

  •  Neurotransmitters: are the brain chemicals that communicate information throughout  our brain and body.Neurotransmitters are endogenous chemicals that enable neurotransmission. It is a type of chemical messenger which transmits signals across a chemical synapse, such as a neuromuscular junction, from one neuron (nerve cell) to another "target" neuron, muscle cell, or gland cell.


  • Tryptophan: is an amino acid needed for normal growth in infants for nitrogen balance in adults. It is an essential supplement in the body.


  • Melatonin: It's a hormone made by the pineal gland that helps to control your sleep and wake cycles. Very small amount of it is found in foods such as meat, grains, fruits and vegetables and you can also buy it as a supplement.

  • Proteineous Food: Taking food that contains amino acid and proteins such as fish, meat, egg yolk, wheat, although taking milk at night can make you sleep otherwise take the one that contains excess of tryptophan.

  • Fruit: Such as Banana, Apple, Orange, Water Mellon, Carrot, Garden Egg, Pineapple, Mango etc.All these fruit listed above help in boosting the brain power, eyesight power etc
